【摘要】:Manufacturersofradiantbarriersexpresstheperformanceoftheirproductsintermsofthetotalhemisphericalemittance.Thepurposeofaradiantbarrieristodecreasetheradiationheattransferacrosstheatticairspace,andhence,todecreasetheheatlossorgainthroughtheceilingbelowtheattic.Theamountofdecreaseinheatflowwilldependuponanumberoffactors,suchasweatherconditions,amountofmassorreflectiveinsulationintheattic,solarabsorptanceoftheroof,geometryoftheatticandroof,andamountandtypeofatticventilation.Becauseoftheinfinitecombinationsofthesefactors,itisnotpracticaltopublishdataforeachpossiblecase.Thecalculationofheatlossorgainofasystemcontainingradiantbarriersismathematicallycomplex,andbecauseoftheiterativenatureofthemethod,itisbesthandledbycomputers.Computersarenowwidelyavailabletomostproducersandconsumersofradiantbarrierstopermittheuseofthispractice.Theuserofthispracticemaywishtomodifythedatainputtorepresentaccuratelythestructure.Thecomputerprogramalsomaybemodifiedtomeetindividualneeds.Also,additionalcalculationsmaybedesired,forexample,tosumthehourlyheatflowsinsomefashiontoobtainestimatesofseasonalorannualenergyusages.Thismightbedoneusingthehourlydataasinputstoawhole-housemodel,andbychoosinghousebalancepointstouseascutoffpointsinthesummations.1.1Thispracticecoverstheestimationofheatgainorlossthroughceilingsunderatticscontainingradiantbarriersbyuseofacomputerprogram.Thecomputerprogramincludedasanadjuncttothispracticeprovidesacalculationalprocedureforestimatingtheheatlossorgainthroughtheceilingunderanatticcontainingatrussorraftermountedradiantbarrier.Theprogramalsoisapplicabletotheestimationofheatlossorgainthroughceilingsunderanatticwithoutaradiantbarrier.Thisprocedureutilizeshour-by-hourweatherdatatoestimatethehour-by-hourceilingheatflows.Theinteriorofthehousebelowtheceilingisassumedtobemaintainedataconstanttemperature.Atpresent,theprocedureisapplicabletosloped-roofatticswithrectangularfloorplanshavinganunshadedgabledroofandahorizontalceiling.Itisnotapplicabletostructureswithflatroofs,vaultedceilings,orcathedralceilings.Thecalculationalaccuracyalsoislimitedbythequalityofphysicalpropertydatafortheconstructionmaterials,principallytheinsulationandtheradiantbarrier,andbythequalityoftheweatherdata.1.2Undersomecircumstances,interactionsbetweenradiantbarriersandHVACductsinatticscanhaveasignificanteffectonthethermalperformanceofabuilding.Ductsareincludedinanextensionofthecomputermodelgivenintheappendix.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
