【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverinterconnectsconsistingofmatinginsulatingenclosureswhichareassembledtononmetallicsheathedcableandformbothamechanicalandelectricalconnection.ThisformsacontainedproductforcomponentinterconnectionsforuseinexposedorconcealedlocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode(NEC),ANSI/NFPA-70,Article545,ManufacturedBuildings;Article550,MobileHomes;Article551,RecreationalVehiclesAndRecreationalVehicleParks,andfortapdevicesinaccordancewithArticle336,Nonmetallic-SheathedCable:TypesNM,NMC,andNMS.1.2Theenclosuresoftheseinterconnectsarecompletewithoutopeningsandareintendedforusewithoutanoutletboxorenclosure.1.3Theserequirementscoverinterconnectsintendedforuseat600voltsacorlesson15and20amperebranchcircuitswiredwithNos.14and12AWG(2.1and3.3mm2)copperconductors,respectively.1.4Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisOutlineofInvestigation,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersons,shallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisOutlineofInvestigation.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisOutlineofInvestigationdoesnotcomplywiththisOutlineofInvestigation.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisOutlineofInvestigation.
